Disk Space Inspector – Disk Space Usage Analysis Tool
As technology moves forward, we are offered better and better equipment and more powerful tools to put to good use. Take hard disks for example. I remember that only a few years back, an 80GB hard disk was considered large. An 80GB hard disk nowadays is something to laugh at – the norm is to have a few hundred GBs, not a few tens.
The good news is that you can store more data the better the storage capabilities of the hard drive get. The bad news is that with so much data on your hands, the situation could prove to be overwhelming. If you don’t know how all that disk space is used, you could have problems managing all that data – like cleaning up obsolete information.
To not let the situation get messy, you could use the AdvexSoft-developed application Disk Space Inspector. As the application’s name so adequately points out, Disk Space Inspector will analyze disk space usage. To be more precise Disk Space Inspector will monitor disk space on local and network computers; and it will provide you with detailed reports. In these reports Disk Space Inspector indicates which hard disk areas are used by what data.
Disk Space Inspector allows you to determine where, how and by whom your disk space is being used on your local computer and/or network servers.
Here are the technical details about Disk Space Inspector you should check out before you get the application and put it to the test:
Download – the download weighs in at 7MB, meaning it should not take too long for the download to complete. To my mind, not having to wait a long time for a download to complete is always nice.
Installation – installing Disk Space Inspector should take just as little time as it did to download the application. Disk Space Inspector can be installed on ant version of the Microsoft-developed Windows operating system, including the latest iteration, Windows 7.
Limitations - Disk Space Inspector is free to try. This means you can use the trial version of Disk Space Inspector free of charge only during a 30-day period.
